UAE New Residence Visa Rules

Under the new residence visa rules introduced by the UAE government, expats will need to meet a minimum salary requirement of Dh10,000 per month to sponsor up to five of their family members for residency visas in the UAE. The new rules are aimed at ensuring that expats have the financial means to support their families during their stay in the country.

Previously, expats were only required to have a monthly salary of Dh4,000 to sponsor family members. However, the new minimum salary requirement is in line with the country’s efforts to maintain a stable population growth rate and to control the cost of living.

It’s worth noting that there are exceptions to the rule. For instance, doctors, engineers, and certain other professions are required to have a minimum salary of Dh15,000 per month to sponsor their families. Additionally, the new rules will not apply to those who have already sponsored their families before the implementation of the new rules.

The UAE’s visa rules are subject to change, and it’s important for expats to stay up-to-date with the latest regulations. Expats should also consult with a reputable immigration consultant or legal advisor for guidance on visa requirements and other legal matters related to living and working in the country.
